Mkonoo Tree Planting

Mkonoo Tree Planting Tanzania Health and Social services, joined hands with other Organisations in 2022 to commemorate the day. THSS as the coordinator, brought together with Sisters of Notre Dem, National environment Management council (NEMC) and Kijani Pamoja organization. The team of three Organizations visited Engavunet village in Mkonoo ward, Arusha City for distribution and planting of 250 tree seedilings.

Women's Day Celebration

THSS celebrated Women’s Day by donating an amount of money worth of two tents for women’s day exhibition at Ngarenaro Grounds. The event aimed to support and promote women entrepreneurs, providing them with a platform to showcase their products and services. The contribution from THSS helped create a vibrant space for networking, business growth, and community engagement, highlighting the organization’s commitment to empowering women in the local community.

Training to Students on Sanitary Pads Making

THSS in collaboration with Change for Future and SNV organized and conducted two days training to 66 students and two female teachers from Them Secondary School. They were trained on Gender equality with emphasis on elimination of all kinds of Violence against Children and Women; also trained on menstrual hygiene starting with its meaning, what happens and how to manage. And finally, trained practically on how to make handmade re-usable Sanitary Pads.

Seed Bombs Making, Training and Distribution

Seed Bombs Making Training in Schools

THSS in collaboration with Seed bombs Tanzania, trained 5370 students on seed bombs making and during the training 6538 seed bombs were made ready for distribution.
